To commemorate the seventy-fifth anniversary of Vila Viniteca (www.vilaviniteca.es) in Barcelona’s gothic quarter, its proprietor, Quim Vila, has proudly selected us to be part of a unique collection of wines he is assembling of select small producers from Spain. From humble beginnings, and with a distinct respect for the past, Quim and his family have built up their business to become one of the most important retailers, distributors and importers of wine in Spain.

The Compañía de Vinos Telmo Rodríguez also started out small and with a similar deep respect for the past. Given these shared concerns, it was important we pledge extra time and care in producing this wine for Quim. The result: an old mountain wine from Malaga from the 2007 vintage. The wine finds the Compañía de Vinos Telmo Rodríguez extending our project of recuperating essential elements from the past. In producing it, we made every effort to imagine what an old mountain wine from the seventeenth century was like. The result is a special wine for a special man.
